Davide Rovelli is a PhD student in cloud infrastructure optimisation. His thesis project is mixed academic/industrial: a collaboration between the SWSYSTEMS group at USI and SAP - cloud innovation research group.

His work focuses on practical implementation of hybrid synchronous/asynchronous distributed systems. His interest are distributed programming, low level optimisation, datacenter technology and efficient cloud hardware and software systems.
